Cheap and Abundant Prepper Generator Options

For preppers one of the biggest and least common prep for them to have is electricity backup. In this article we're going to address this issue and a number of solutions. I will show you how you can do it at a number of cost levels and out put levels.

For smaller devices there is something you may not know about for producing power. They have small crank generators that can fit in your pocket and medium sized ones made out of things like old drills. This can keep a smart phone, tablet, light, radio other small device charged without fuel costs or need for fuel. These devices also normally are under $70.

Since solar and wind generators have gained in popularity and dropped in price fuel powered generators have gone down in price a lot. You can by a small one for $70 and a large one for $400. While gasoline is expensive there is a away you can use one these on the cheap. Converting many models including some of the cheap ones from gasoline to natural gas can be as cheap as $5-$20 on your own. If you can find a source of natural gas or way to safely store it you can have your own source or a cheap fuel to stockpile.

One option that has dropped in price is solar you can get a nice generator for $200-$500 that will power one major device. A lot of these are mobile which is a perk. The biggest perk though is there is no fuel needed.

Here is something you will have to assemble on your own but can produce all the power you need cheap or even free. Coal generators require a coal steam boiler and some sort of steam pistol system to make the power. The perk is coal can be found in some parts of the country and is cheap everywhere. Coal generators can make lots of power and have fuel that is free or super cheap to stockpile.

How Anyone can Have a Farm Free; Infinite, Free and Renewable Food for Preppers

Well a picture is a thousand words and there are considerations of laws that would have to be broken in some cases and safety but this does result in free farming. I am not going to go into all the details but you can seed, grow, harvest, harvest seed and conceal vast amounts of food growth on public land that people can walk over or under and never see. The start up can be free to cheap and it can be spread out and vast. It won't take a rocket scientist to see the how in the pics.

Self Defense Options for Peppers that are Cheap, Effective and Consider Laws.

When you consider your safety for when SHTF you often are faced with laws, cost, lack of ammo and finding something user friendly. In  this article we will show you how to arm legally, economically and effectively almost anywhere. The options presented in this article even give options to people who live in England.

The first option I present is the single barrerl shotgun and they're often found under$100 used. These guns meet local laws in all places in the US and Canada, have chamber inserts available to fire even pistol rounds and almost never fail. With barrel inserts they can be a handy tool.
Another option is home building from kits or building from scratch like this semi automatic pistol. Instructions can be found online both on how to make receiveers for kit guns and how to make a gun from scratch. This regulated in some places but not all. It is normally cheap.

Crossbow pistols are sometimes powerful enough to go through a concrete wall with darts.  The big advantage is their legal almost everywhere and are well under $100 not to mention they're easy to make.

The Plinkster is a poor mans Ruger 10/22 and is semi auto, cheap lr22, has 20 round mags available and often is found for well under $200.

The Arx 160 comes in Lr22 and is normally under $500 in this variation for those who want a military rifle but can't afford the ammo or rifle in a larger caliber.

The circuit judge is a rifle version of the pistol. This judge is both a shotgun and rifle shooting 5 rounds of 4/10 or 45 colt. Est $500-600.

The pmr 30 is a semi automatic pistol made by Kel tech that holds 30 rounds. It comes in both lr22 and 22 mag making it a useful pistol at $500-$800.

Making Prepped Modern Ammo From Scratch; Powder, Bullets, Cases and Primers

If and when you make your own ammo you first need to study loading and smelting. In survival situations I  recommend coal smelting because once equipped with propper forms and furnace coal can be found in most parts and where it can't it is cheap to stockpile. Map gas and other methods are costly and rely on infrastructure.

This is extremely dangerous and should only be done be professionals and still can cause injury or death. In some places laws apply.

The first thing I will cover is bullets. Numerous materials can be cast into slugs, bullets and pellet's. These include aluminum, brass, led, copper, steel and iron . We are going to talk about iron and more specifically magnetite because if you have a water way or desert you have lots of this hard iron. Magnetite also does not rust with an oxide of 4. Please note to study your barrel first because it will make hard bullets and should only be fired from chrome and other barrels capable of firing rounds this hard safely.

Getting magnetite is easy you just run a big magnet over sand and use the magnet to separate and purify the  ore.

Once you have the material you want use you can cast the bullets with a high heat cast. The history of iron bullets dates to World War II when late in the war Germany ran out of its led sources. They successful used iron bullets like the one below.
Beware that it is illegal to make pure iron or steel pistol bullets with the exception of 22 . This ammo is likely to pierce most armor.

Here is a link on how to make gunpowder. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol9wuQO5v-A

As far as cases and primers there are casts for those.

Preppers Magic Water

When recommending a piece of equipment this is probably the only military device I recommend to preppers. This is inspite of my own military experience. In most other cases the civilian market has better gear. I also know that looking like a soldier will make you a target.

The army canteen is what you're looking for. It comes with a metal cup/pot to cook with and boil water. This after filtering allows you to cook and eat. These are inexpensive running $5-$12. For these reasons this is probably the most important prepp.
